This is part of the national Faith Action Audit. The results of the Cinnamon Faith Action Audits were announced on Wednesday May 20th 2015 at Emmanuel Centre, Westminster.

BGKT Buddhist Group of Kendal (Theravada) ran a stall and spoke during the Open Mike session of the Closing ceremony of the Global Thought Festival on 31st July 2021.
BGKT Secretary Jacquetta Gomes spoke about the 125th birth anniversary in August of Venerable Ananda Maitreya Mahanayaka Thera Aggamaha Pandita Abhidhaja Maharatthaguru DLitt DLitt (23rd August 1896 -18th July 1998). The Buddhist Group of Kendal (Theravada) (BGKT) is fortunate to have as its founder Spiritual Advisors Venerable Balangoda Ananda Maitreya and Bhante Henepola Gunaratana Maha Thera.
Venerable Ananda Maitreya and BGKT Secretary Jacquetta Gomes are joint authors of Introducing Buddhism. This booklet has been published by Buddhist organisations in England, Malaysia (as Buddhism A Quick Introduction), Sri Lanka, Taiwan, and the USA.
Venerable Pidiville Piyatissa (Head of Ketumati Buddhist Vihara Manchester) who has taught BGKT since 1999, and Jacquetta Gomes BGKT Secretary led an earlier session for the Global Thought Festival Sunday School Session: Buddhism, on Sunday 4 July.
